Cons of Interssesion
Intersession Friday’s are half days of working on assignments that are late or incomplete. They are for the purpose of catching up in classes you may fall behind in or to move further ahead. Is this really helpful? Students do not have to attend intersession, even though it’s recommended by teachers. One reason intersession Fridays are not helpful is the time left, having only four to five weeks left, having these Fridays takes time away from core and other important classes. Another reason is that the intersession days are half days, with students already having problems with transportation this makes it have more pressure on both the parents and the students. Intersession Friday started on July 1st, and the intersession week begins on the 31st of July. The last problem is that students choose what two classes they use their time with, if they need help with more than two classes they are not available to take all of them or they can choose the ones they need the least amount of help in. So, should we continue to use Intersession Fridays?
