Lock-In

On Friday June 16th, there was a Lock-In at JPEC for College Prep students with the theme of ‘At the Carnival’. The purpose of this Lock-In was to build a stronger bond between the staff and the students at JPEC. The night was filled with several hands on activities.

At 7pm, the event kicked off and students went to their first activities. Some of these activities included bouncing through inflatables, making slime, playing Wii games, team building activities and playing board games. The students enjoyed battling their friends and/or even their teachers in the Jousting inflatable. They also had a great time racing their friends through the Ninja Obstacle course inflatable.

At about 11pm the girls and the boys went into their separate class rooms and watched movies. The students enjoyed popcorn while viewing the movies. The boys watched the Lego Batman movie and the girls watched the new Beauty and the Beast movie.

At about 1:30am the students who wished to stay up all night went into a separate room, where the fun continued. The students continued to play board games, joust their friends, play Wii games, and have fun with their friends.

In the morning, the students enjoyed a nice breakfast. There was orange juice, yogurt, sausage and pancakes. Some students were barely awake, almost falling asleep while eating. The lock-in was a fun event for both the staff and the students.
