2017 has been the first school year that JPEC has had a softball team, and we’re all very excited. They have been playing as many games as they can, and the team has both experienced players, and those just starting out.

They haven’t won a game yet, but they still have been very impressive seeing that this is the first time they’ve played together. The team is for high school girls, and they’ve had many interested in playing this year.

"This is my first year playing and I have learned so much with the help of my coach and the awesome encouragement of the girls!" says Madison Meyerhofer, tenth grader at JPEC who’s on the softball team.

Even though many girls bring their own supplies, the school has provided bats, helmets, and uniforms for those on the team if they need them. I think we can all agree that this has been a homerun of a first year for the team.
