Club Penguin Waddles on for the Last Time

March 29th, was popular kids website, Club Penguin’s last day. The game was extremely popular in the early 2000s, but not very many people play it anymore, which has lead the website creators to close it down. For the last day, the website had a huge party, and many users protested it’s demise.

The website is being replaced with a new penguin themed game, Club Penguin island, but most people are concerned that the game won’t live up to the other one. I remember countless hours playing the original game, and forcing my parents to buy me memberships.

Disney claims to have worked on the new game for years, and now they think it’s time to retire the old game and introduce the new one. Hopefully the new game will attract new kids to spend time playing Club Penguin. It’s time to accept the fact that club penguin as we know

it is over, and we have to move on. Although, it begs the question, will other old children’s websites close down?
