Bombers Attack in Syria Resulting in Multiple Casualties

This Wednesday two suicide bombers targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus, leading to dozens being killed.

The first bombing was located at the Palace Of Justice, Damascus’s main courthouse. It was reported that the bomb was detonated at a peak time to “inflict the maximum number of casualties.” 32 people were announced dead and over 100 more wounded.

This attack is only one of many, there has been an onslaught of suicide bombers targeting the governmental buildings of syria.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency the second attack was aimed at the al-Rabweh area. The suicide bombers vest detonated in a popular local restaurant killing 28 people.

These attacks followed the bombings of Tahrir al-Sham, a terrorist group with ties to Al-Qaeda, but they denied involvement stating that their “objectives are limited to security branches and military barracks of the criminal regime and its allies.” Suspects for the bombing has not yet been clearly identified.
