In celebration of March 8th being Women’s Day, feminist protesters put on their red outfits and protested for women’s rights. Their goal was by taking work off for a day to do this, they are hoping that it will show the employment system how vital of a role they believe women play.

The crowd had a vast attendance, ranging from toddlers to elderly. For the most part the protest remained peaceful, but around thirteen women were arrested due to their inappropriate behavior, for example: getting too violent. This protest was called “Day Without a Woman,” and was organized by a feminist organization: Women’s March.

The Women’s March organization's main motive is to give equality to all and protect women from assault, according to their website. They assemble many marches like these for various reasons, and have many supporters. Protests like this particular one are so common now, that we can expect similar protests to this in the near future.
