As Valentine’s day approaches, students have been looking for ways to celebrate the holiday. The college prep student council has come up with a solution to solve this dilemma. The JPEC flower sale has allowed students to buy whomever they wish a carnation, with an attached message.

The flowers cost $2 each, or three for $5 and will be delivered on Valentine’s day directly to the students. You can preorder the flowers either before school, or during lunch. The flowers are coming from Dee’s Flowers, in Spring Arbor Michigan.

After an interview with the student council president, Samantha Ulicny, we are able to conclude that the money raised will be going towards future student events, such as the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day pancake breakfast. Student council hopes this event will raise student pride, student involvement, and an overall better culture at JPEC filled with traditions.

“Last year’s flower sale was really successful for our student council, and I think this year will be just as successful and provide a great source of revenue for the council, to allow us to continue to do great things for the student community at JPEC.” Ulicny says.
